This was the "Reserved Customers" line for the iPhone 4 launch at the Apple Store in South Coast Plaza as I walked out of the building on June 24, 2010 at 7:56am. With the new iPhone 4 in hand, I proceeded to film a small portion of customers lined up against the wall of the West Parking Lot structure.
However, I should note that the "Walk-In Customers" line on the opposite side of the mall was over 5,000 people long by 3:00pm in the afternoon. As smartphone product enthusiasts, we are thankful that we were committed to arriving early at 9:30pm the previous night in order to fully guarantee a quick spot in line. Besides, as a once-per-year event hanging with family and friends, how could it not be awesome? :)
I don't get it what's all the hype about this Apple cell phone Jesus christ. People act like if they are not the first ones to get it they will die.

Yeah people have some messed up priorities. Standing in line for a cellphone is not worth 12 minutes of my life. Forget 12 hours. If you have family and friends, spend that time building memories with them. Life is far too short for this material nonsense.
