  • You idiots must be kidding me, the problem with places in this country is that there is shame of being nude, there is no problem with nudity as long as sexual behavior is involved. Nudity does not always involve sex.

  • I never said that my way is the only right way Kate!

You can strip off in the middle of the street and have all the fun you want! :) Have fun!

  • Who said it was a dire need? We were COMPELLED, we were INSPIRED.

Besides, I've seen people have pure, clean fun in all manner of ways; who are you to say that yours are the only right ways?

  • I've seen people having pure clean fun without feeling the dire need and necessity to take their clothes off in public and show their asses off!

  • "Lower" is a value judgment that, frankly, is all your own, not an inherent universal truth of the universe.

You seem under the impression that your moral code is the only possible and correct one to have, and, no offense, but you couldn't be more wrong. I don't think I or any of the other parade participants appreciate you rather prejudicial attitude toward what, to us, was good, clean, fun.

  • umm in a way you are right. Some countries moral standards are just lower than the others. which doesn't make it alright either! West has promoted much nudity and immoral values during the past few decades. No denying this. And they have found their reasons for doing so by effective reasoning.

  • "Genuine respect for moral values" is just a weasely way of saying "shame is a virtue".

Morals are relative--I assure you, your relatives are different from those of people raised in other countries or in other religious or social traditions--and not always based on the empirical world; I prefer ethics, which are much more real, and there's nothign ethically wrong with nudity.

Nor is the Fremont parade a prurient affair; I was a participant and I was surprised by how non-sexual it was.

  • Its not anymore. you can walk around naked displaying your genitals to all. Actually its not shame but the feeling of genuine respect for moral values. Free availability of porn and nudity is bringing down a potentially civilized well cultured society down to cheap brothel norms.

  • I fail to see how shame is a virtue. :P

  • the parade is pathetic with sick people! Look at these naked women showing off their tits in public. And there are kids around. How shameless. They are teaching the kids how to be degraded right from childhood. There is no good morals left in here. All in the name of goodness and so called entertainment.
