  • @MansoorDorp Tell me why then dick!

  • These are made in the phill they are garbage Carvin made in USA! cheaper price AND 100% better

  • @Wes919 Yeah your probably right, it's the only amp I have other than a little line 6 combo. To be honest though the mg is not horrible, I can get some killer tones and the only amp that I've compared it to was a old fender tube amp head. Obviously I want to upgrade because the mg is a starter amp but as a loyal player I had to defend her a little bit haha.

  • @tauntauntots You're absolutely correct, tone is in the fingers. I would disagree that it is at all comparable to even other low end solid states, much less amps twice the price. The Roland Cube is much better sounding then the MG, IMO. I don't know what high end tube amps you've played, nor what eq settings you used, but I have no idea what you are hearing when you play those amps that makes them even comparable to the mg. Maybe your ears are too accustomed to the MG tone?

  • @Wes919 n00b? I've been playing the same Marshall MG 100 hdfx for 5 years and yeah it is not the best but it does not suck. It's highly comparable to most of the popular tube amps valued at twice the price. You also must take into account the guitar and the players fingers for tone too, so if you think this amp totally sucks maybe it's just you or your guitar?

  • Great sounding demo but it's got everything to do with editing software and compression that's used in this video. The FDD switch wasn't audible maybe a little to much overdub...I like Marshall amps they all seem to follow the same trade mark crunch tone.

  • is this amp worth buying for an upgrade off a 75 watt HIWATT amp for $450 aus. i dont care about the hate on it because ill make my own judgement on it with my pedals running through it.

  • I have no idea what this amp is. The only Marshalls I know are jtm45, plexi, jmp, and jcm800.

  • I must laugh at all the n00b guitarists rushing to the defense of the MG. The amp sucks and your ear for tone has not developed yet. When I was a young player I thought my shitty crate amp sounded awesome, I play it now and I have no idea how I could of possibly thought it was at all good. I'm not amp snob, but seriously people this is a fake sounding, plastic, toy amplifier with no dynamics.

  • I think about 90% of the hate for the less expensive amps like this is because every time you see a vid of one, the guy is still learning how to dial in a good tone. This guy does a good job though, and lo' and behold it actually sounds pretty good. Great for the price, imho.
