Not all tents would survive even when pitched correctly and that includes Outwell tents. we had the Ohio XL with front extension and in moderate wind ( probably at least 15 to 20 mph less than in this video) early on the morning the day before departure the front collapsed snapping the pole at the top clean in two and severly bending the right side front pole. This was due to inadiquate guying points on the frront extension.

I have one of these too. Having been camping for 22+ years, I have had every tent you can imagine. If you want a nice internal environment to live, a nice dull sound from the rain and the great smell of canvas, this is your tent - but it is a ten year investment. If you want to be hot and stuffy during the day, cold at night with condensation, flappy sides and annoying high pitched rain noises, go for a lightweight tent.
MOST tents would survice this weather if they were properly erected in the first place, I have seen loads of disasters mainly due to incorrect pegging and guy line running. Nice tent

@blazer666del - What you see in this video is only the aftermath of a Storm. The previous evening everyone else in tents had 'left' due to the worsening weather & warnings of a storm. This is a good solid tent and we wanted to stay. It was really fine and took a force gale 6 to 7, but the noise of the weather when you are in a tent is SO loud - no one got any sleep!! So we also decided to then leave once the weather eased right down so we could pack up.

I purchased this tent in 2010. Never been camping in my life before and thought if i'm going camping i will do it in style. Our first night at Fidden Farm on Mull was wild. 70 mph winds and driving rain. We stayed awake until 3am.. not because we were terrified but because it has to be one of the most relaxing pleasures i've ever experienced. Listening to the elements in what is a bomb proof tent. We woke up in the morning to see other tents lying scattered but not even a guy line stretched.

@KittiiGlam - Glad you found the same - This tent is like a tank when compared to other 'family' tents !
We did have some most minor 'water seepage' through one window. We had Horizontal rain for about 36 hours and the outer window flaps are only held down by a single strip of velcro. (which didnt stay shut with that amount of wind) - What ended up happening is that rain (over time) seeped through the zips.. But this was in similar 'Gale force' winds..
