I used to wonder where Joe Wright got the idea of playing without looking at what he was doing..............now I know!!!
Thanks to the King...

Who else ever excelled playing the C-6th like Buddy, or who else could play true jazz licks on steel like Buddy? He's blown me away for 40 years+

Yes there have been a lot of great steel guitarists, but other than maybe Curly Chalker, who else really excelled with the C-6th? And especially, who else has ever played the true jazz licks on steel like Buddy?

Those fiddle players are excellent too. Buddy emmons= one of the best steel guitar players ALIVE. gotta dig those superb skills.

there are few players in the world who can compare to Buddy Emmons. One that comes to mind though is a guy from the Cincinnati, Ohio and norther Kentucky area by the name of Chuck Rich. He currently plays for Bobby Mackie in Wilder, Ky.

Great video. Thanks. I see Brent Mason on lead guitar and Rob Hajacos on fiddle.
I see Buddy plays so relaxed and enjoy.
Thanks Bill!! Is the Tommy Williams here the same one that played with Mel Tillis and Charlie Pride? He sure looks familiar.
