Hello a couple of questions...
After everything is installed correctly, would I be able to edit and view my blog with out using any internet???
And will it be visible to anyone also if they have the correct address???
If yes, how can I make it private?
Thank you so much for your attention and time!
-Sincerely, Pastor Estrada

i thought mamp was a word i cam up with... dammit, everyone beats me to everything...
Thanks for a great tutorial yet with due respect i think i ve a bit simpler way to install instead u set the user name and password in wp-config.php u could straight away go the local host start the wp setup later after a step u will find textboxes to put in database name (that u ve defined/created already for wp),username (root) and password(root) and there u go :) ,at times newbies get confused over lil things its better to make it simpler for them. Apart from my input ur tutorial is fabulous

@mehrozdurrani You are actually right- since I made this video the folks at WordPress have made the installation process much more user-friendly, and you can now basically just run through their web-based installer without ever editing the files or creating databases. Technology ages quickly! The method demonstrated here still works fine, and the "power users" out there will probably still enjoy doing it this way.

@An0nymousHelper Make sure you put the name of your folder (mine was named "mag" but yours can be anything) If you are still having problems, check out the description for a link to some troubleshooting helps!
