their is no such thing as Dravidian and Aryan. go read the Vedas. That is a flawed idea brought up by Europeans to to force the western religion on the people who lived in the Indian subcontinent, and somehow they still teach that shit in schools

essentially he is saying think 10 times before saying anything about Samta Prasad-ji. I agree, he is a big Ustad, and the music itself is older and more advanced than anyone, all generations considered

We can sit here debating what is fact and fiction forever. Much of India history has been falsified and rewritten by invaders once they took over. Many of these impostors created the caste system and set themselves on the higher rungs of the social ladder so they can continue oppressing and lying to the original Indians whom they pushed down.
The systematic destruction of the original black Indians is ongoing to this day, thankfully some still fight it.

@r8rdarklord Unless you are saying that Dhrupad-Dhamar is similiar to Carnatic style of singing. There are similarities but there are also major differences.
-
@sonofthedestroyer This is just theory there is no evidence of all this. If you think this is true then why do our scriptures refer to fair skinned people unless you think it's a figment of there imagination. The fact is the Dhrupad-Dhamar style of singing pre-dates Mughal or for that matter any invasion. Why, because of compositions, constructions and structure of Alaap. Most big gharana Ustads can trace their lineage back to there fore-fathers, who were originally hindus.

Original Indian people were dark skinned. So the concept of 'North Indian' did not exist back in those days. So prior to all the invasions, people living in Northern India would played classical music similar to south. Because the people were the same. After invasions, the older culture was pushed to the south and redesigned in the north.
I know this as tamil people lived in Indus Valley (Pakistan) and there were black Indian who built Angkor Temples in Cambodia in ancient times.
-
@sonofthedestroyer So please tell us, what were the North Indians doing before the Mughals came. We are all years unless you believe that classical music didn't exist in North India before the Mughals.
