  • We can use some high speed rail in Australia. No I don't want to take a 4-5 day trip on the tourist train "The Ghan" just to get from one end of the country to the other. It's not the Tran-Siberian Railway we're traveling!

  • As a Frenchman in the core of the most dense and used railway network in Europe, I strongly recommend to any country high-speed rail.

  • LOL Evergreen Line is finally breaking ground today in Vancouver, after almost 30 years of talks and propaganda..

  • I really want Toronto-Montreal HSR, then I could do business there sooo much more easily.

  • @QCprepper That and you'd have three governments wanting to regulate it to death. The Federal government, along with the Provincial Governments of both provinces. They'd all want capital from it, and try and delay it even further by launching independent rail studies in addition to this one. Hence why private companies primarily hate investing in inter-provincial programs.

Although if they do like Britain and buy modified Shinkansen trains from Japan, you'll find people choosing rail over road.

  • I wish Canada would stop wasting taxpayers dollars on these constant studies. They dont get us any closer to what this country needs. Use the money on building the actual train.

  • LOL that is exactly the same thing that's happening here in Australia with the Melbourne-Sydney-Brisbane High Speed Rail Link.

  • ahahahahahahahahah. so true.....

  • i love this is is just too funny

  • @QCprepper GO is the Southern Ontario Commuter-rail train company. Prices for a ticket range from $4 to $12 depending on where you're going. Just saying that I'd be in Montreal far more often if there was a high-speed train to go there.
