David Wood vs. Nadir Ahmed (3 of 3): "Does Christianity Promote Violence Towards Non-Christians?"

We all know that Islam promotes violence towards non-Muslims (see Qur'an 9:29, 9:73, 9:123, etc.). Yet when these violent passages are pointed out, the typical Muslim response is: "But the Bible teaches violence too!" So does Christianity promote violence? David Wood and Nadir Ahmed debate the evidence.

Having watched this debate in it’s entirety I’ve come to the conclusion this Nadir Ahmed guy is tapped in the head...lol This had to be the most one sided debate I have ever seen. David Wood wiped the floor with him

When someone uses debate time to assert how well he is doing over and over, he has nothing. He should just be gracious and accept defeat.

While I agree with Wood's conclusion about both Islam and Christianity, Ahmed raises a challenge which does not seem to be addressed. What makes his (peculiar) interpretation any better than Wood's? We could say that Wood has spent more time with the text and so knows it better, but so what? Other people with just as much knowledge and experience disagree with Wood's interpretation. What gives Wood the authority to say that his interpretations are correct?
