We are along Metro North's Hudson Line for some action between passenger and freight trains. Amtrak, Metro North and Conrail mix it up during the afternoon hours of January 29 and 30th of 1996. First scene is at Crugers. Next we move to the Louise Street overpass in Peekskill. Finally, new Pontiac minivans roll out of the GM Tarrytown plant as trains roll by.
This video is dedicated to Artie Hanna, who just may be in the Conrail truck in the closing shot, for the many years of service he provided to the Hudson Valleys railroads and keeping those "baby boats" moving.

  • Thanks for this footage of GM Tarrytown! You shot this jan 29, 1996? They shut the doors for good on June 28th, just six months later. What a waste.

  • Great video of some vintage MNCR and Conrail equipment. Also nice to see some rare footage of the "Starships".
