Dedication for Lakewood Police Fallen Four Heroes - WITH HOPE

This is a simple dedication to the four officers of the Lakewood Police Department in Pierce County, WA. This senseless tragedy took place over the weekend and the entire Pacific Northwest and beyond is reeling in shock over this murderous act. This didn't occur during a bank robbery or such, it occurred while the four comrades were getting ready to start their shift, over a cup of coffee. This hits home because the Police Chief of Lakewood PD is an old student of mine from when I was his Tac Officer (Den Mother) when he went through the academy. I'm feeling old and weary right about now. This sensless act left 9 children without one of their parents, countless coworkers, friends and family members grieving. Please keep the families in your prayers as we enter what was supposed to be a joyous time of year. This song, With Hope, was written by Steven Curtis Chapman and speaks directly to the sudden loss of a loved one. I apologize for the poor quality of the video but this was done in a VERY short time period and the lighting was not the best. God Bless and please let your local law enforcement know that you appreciate their sacrifices. I 've decided not to post any answers to the comments left because this is not about me ina ny sense. I just want you to pray for the victims and their families.The soundtrack was synced up with the video when I posted it but it appears to have gotten slightly out of wack. Sorry!

Incredible song and perfomance here Steve. Tearing up here, so sad and beautiful. Goes without saying that Losing 6 officers here in the past few months in our area is heartbreaking, I hope their families get to hear this BRILLIANT tribute.

I appreciate your kind words but please forgive if I do not comment. I am really torn up about this and this not about me at all. I just felt this song best puts into words our thoughts and feelings as people of strong faith try to deal with an unexplained and senseless loss. I posted this only to make people aware and please,PLEASE keep these people in your prayers. The power of prayer is an unbelievable force.. Give those dear to you a big hug and kiss. You never know if they will return home.

I'm not a family member or friend of the officers, but I am a resident of Washington State. On their behalf, thank you. I'm not sure if anyone here has heard, but we just lost another officer. The (hopefully) final count since October 31st, 2009 is 8 officers shot, 6 of those killed. Thank-you again for the tribute.
