absolutely true, but generally speaking most shops will use whatever water that comes out of the tap when servicing your coolant system anyway. Chances are your radiator will already spring a leak and needs replacement before the blockage causes by bad water completely block your radiator & heater core. In general once your car reach a certain amount of years of usage (10+ years?) you are gonna need a new radiator or heater core or water pump replaced anyway.

yeah jollylostboy ur right, I don´t know how´s in ur country but here in Spain they sell the coolant allready diluted.

It's best to use distilled water to dilute your coolant especially in areas with hard water because the minerals will form deposits on the inside of your vehicles radiator and coolant system. I know theres not very much mineral contaminant in the water but there are tight spaces and you want you coolant to flow freely. Over time if you continually add water you can cause blockages. At least thats what I heard; feel free to correct.
