Greetings. A species' genome certainly changes constantly, even when every allele is fixed (unlikely) and genetic diversity is nill (also unlikely). My objection was to the word "original:" most species, except those on the verge of extinction and those with recent population bottlenecks, have large genetic variations among individuals, all of which combined represent the genome; there is no "original" for the same reason there is no starting point on a circle. Fine video though.

That phrase is not one used by the speaker but a paraphrase which may be inaccurate. If you have a better way to summarize (another word or phrase for genome), please advise. I hope you can appreciate the video.
