Monument to honour Iraqi shoe-thrower unveiled
In Iraq, a monument has been erected in honour of the journalist who threw his shoes at former US president George Bush. The two-metre-high bronze-coloured sculpture of a shoe was unveiled in Tikrit, the birthplace of Saddam Hussein.
Muntazer al-Zaidi hurled his shoes at Mr Bush at a press conference during the former president's last visit to the country in December. The journalist, now in detention awaiting trial on assault charges, enjoys wide public sympathy.

I'd LOVE to call in an air strike on that monument. IT would be hilarious.
