November is generally considered a dull and depressiong month in Greece. The sky is constantly grey covered with thick clouds spreading a miserable darkness all over the country. Humidity and rainfall succeed one another giving the impression that even the heavens are crying. As I said, a dull and depressing Month.

Yet November 2006 was much different. When people woke up at November 18 could feel the difference. The sun was shining brighter than every other day and the sky was smiling. The seas were reflecting the sunshine like crystal mirrors. The trees had lost their leaves since September, yet they looked more beautiful than ever.

He was here.

November 18 was a glorious day for our country. That day our nation had the Great Honor to welcome comrade Gennady Zyuganov the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. The man who stood alone in the darkest times of humanity and dared to defy the tides of Imperialism visited our country. Generous as always He even granted us an interview and offered to share His wisdom with us. That was maybe the most glorious day for our Nation since the liberation from the Nazis.

What do all the facts listed above have to do with the current situation? Not much. Yet today as our people are experiencing a most brutal period with many fundamental human rights revoked and even more inhuman measures taken. Anything that could relieve the people from their misery would be helpful and I could not possibly think of something more comforting than the New Year wishes of our beloved leader teacher and Father Comrade Zyuganov.

My poor translation is definitely inaccurate yet His voice speaks directly to our hearts. The video was composed out of two videos from two different sources.
