Crystal Palace 2010 Phil`s unfortunate accident

Phil`s practice run at crystal palace. This was a good run but miss judged the finish with very dramatic results. Phil was completly unhurt other than his pride which just goes to show how well modern safety equipment works

@4x4sc Gotcha Cheers. I do cycle racing round there every Tuesday evening. Hope the crash barriers are down as we have missed teh last two weeks because of the motor racing

Glad the driver was safe but this is a perfect example of bad driving! These sprint drivers often don't have race licenses and it shows! The lap was scrappy, untidy, he was pushing too hard in a place which deserved respect. If he drove more smoothly and in a more disciplined way he'd get a better lap time and keep his car intact! We want to see sprinting at the Palace again in 2011!

It will be a reshell, not a straight panel on it , A posts bent, B post bent, and transmission tunnel kinked several places along it's length. Luckily we have a spare shell and mechanicals seem ok, so will have a new car ready for start of next season. Phil
