  • Wow, I really thought Lorenzo was going to tear this one apart and in truth, I was kind of looking forward to that...

Yes Marcia, bang on. A film that was too caught up in its own self-importance and beauty to connect with the audience. Maybe there is the message unto itself?

  • Marcia,.. I unnderstand where you are coming from,.. but I have to say, I do think this movie has a poignancy, with both the love story angle, and the genuinely solemn, laid back approach to the story.

Lorenzo,.. the visual aspect does indeed add to the film,.. but not just effects wise, if you ask me,... the cinematography was sublime.

  • OH MY GOD I CANT STAND THIS ITS NOT CAUSE YOUR OLD ITS JUST THAT YOU SHOULD OF FAST FORWARDED YOUR VOICES

  • Marcia is spot on.

  • you two are great reviewers! I really enjoyed watching this. I feel that your review was spot on. Also you two are quite the dynamic duo <3

  • I'm with Marcia - the movie missed the mark. Ben, in spite of the wisdom he should have gained from his reversed life, still couldn't commit to a relationship.

  • It's a wonderful thing when you advance in years and are able to hold on to all your marbles.

This is a great example of that.

  • I have to give it to Marcia on this one. People keep comparing this movie to Forrest Gump, but that movie NEVER felt as shallow and self-important as this movie does. I was utterly bored by the "love story." Two pretty people having sex a lot does not constitute a love story.

  • I too was sorry when it was over. I am glad that you two liked it. There are not enough moveis like this anymore.

  • such great reviews!

  • im saddened to hear you didnt enjoy benjamin button as much as i did. the visual effects and makeup to me were phenomenal and i thoroughly appreciated them after having watched the movie. i felt david fincher's directing is unparalleled and that he did a spectacular job portraying each character and the actors furthermore did a great job at making each person unique and memorable. nevertheless an opinion is an opinion and they will always vary.
