  • @rickvanman re, the sanitation situation. I have one of those portable bucket style toilets and I keep thick green garden refuse bags to line it with as well as a supply of sawdust which you find in the pet aisle of supermarkets to cover any deposits with. I also store jeyes dry disinfectant to help with any unpleasant odours! You can find information about sawdust toilets on the humanurehandbook website.

  • @lisaloolibell Thanks for the info - very useful!

  • ...wow i just came back from the normal world and it's crazy to see you be prepared like this but i think if something happen you will be the better prepare... if nothing happen... yea i know it's a long debate.

  • @civicturbolive It's just a hobby - so for me it's fun.

  • i do not want to sh!t in a bag!

  • LOL - i don't think anybody "wants" to do that - but if it means the difference between staying healthy or contracting a disease like dysentery.....

  • Good vid Rick. I would say that face mask's are good and i have them in my kit but your eyes take in everything that can be inhaled through your mouth. in Asia it is common to see people wearing face masks in polluted areas. Mouths covered eyes exposed ! i sand and seal floors and wear a respirator mask when using solvents and my eyes do get a bit sore after a while. a decent pear of swimming goggles stops this and are less bulky than big chunky goggles. cheers mate good info : )

  • Oh awesome song! This is the same song you put on your bike riding video that you uploaded earlier this year. I remember making a comment on that video about how much I liked that song, and now here I hear it again! Oh wonderful! Thanks. (Sorry for getting sidetracked. I know I should really be listening to what you are saying on this video.) Will do. :-)

  • @MilitantResistance u r actualy allowed a gun they are just quite strict mainly on handguns u can get a shot gun license at any age but u can only buy 1 when 18 a friend of mine got a licese at14

  • wind up torches/flashlights are terrible. theyre not overly efficient, typically made cheaply from poor material in china and they waste energy to wind up. better off with a high quality tough flashlight thats tried and tested and a few sets of rechargeable batteries. they take up a similar size in your kits and have more modes and uses.

  • keep cotton balls ,along with matches, to use as quick fuel for a fire

  • pepper spray,baseball bat

  • I would love to learn how to use equipment available and it usable by looting around then just buying it.

  • @MilitantResistance thats incorrect we can have guns but generally people cant be arsed to fill in the paperwork and numerous checks

  • no weapons?

  • @MilitantResistance I agree with you my colonial cousin,if we had guns we could half the population of ,,,people that wish to enjoy our way of life,,and then plant bombs on our buses & trains,,,people that take full advantage of our generious welfare system ..but hate western life..hate our tolerance of other cultures,,the new nazi ,,Good luck to you cousin hope you get to keep your right to "bear arms"keep in touch a,
