I apologize to Sugarbehr1967,because I inadvertently selected the thumbs down button, instead of the thumbs up! Sugar..you're correct in identifying the Colgate ad gal as Trudi James! I thought I was the only one who remembered her. THANKS!

Pardon for the correction YouTube user "bongomanfromdalou". But Cheer was awarded the Seal of Cotton when it was reformulated with Advanced Color Guard in 1992. Tide was next in the spring of 1994.

How come she looks like she had a lobotomy.....But i guess that's how they portrayed teens back then!!!!

It's not Debbie in the "Colgate" ad; if it HAD been, she would have been in character as "Karen" [not "Linda"] and directly plugged the product in an "integrated commercial". However, Colgate-Palmolive was NOT the primary sponsor of "KAREN"; there were several "participating sponsors" in every episode....
The youg lady in the Colgate ad is one Debbie Watson, who played Marilyn Munster in the 1966 film "Munster Go Home", replacing Pat Priest. She was the third person in three years to have played the role of Marilyn Munster. Berverly Owen played the role of Marilyn in the first 12 of "The Munsters" television episodes.

Thanks for you contribution, however, the young lady in the Colgate TV ad is definitely not Debbie Watson.

OK. Then why is it when you type in Debbie Watson's name on the search engine, these ads pop up, and Debbie's name is listed in bold letters in the description?

The Colgate TV ad was originally broadcast with 'Karen' (1965). 'Karen' featured Debbie Watson as Karen. I have the complete episode which includes all original network TV commercials as broadcast back in 1965.
