This lesson helps you turn a basic scale into music -- by uniting it with percussion, articulation and phrases in your muscle memory.

Your first challenge is to internalize this scale so you can play it smoothly and effortlessly.

Then using timing, articulation and silence,
we turn this one scale or pattern into and endless supply of riffs.

hi jon, i literally just started playing harp yesterday... what im wondering is... exactly how precise do you have to be in blowing into the proper holes? i feel like everytime i play im hitting two, sometimes 3 holes at the same time, and while it SOUNDS cool... it doesnt sound very accurate, or in this case, particularly bluesy
