@Grleogolas i know your comment is old, but whatever. He only moves that way in dungeons, although you do have the option of dashing (running) in dungeons, it's not smart to do so, since it's a turn-based game, meaning every time you move, the enemy moves, so if you just blindly run through the dungeons, you can easily be overcome by the enemy. This game is absolutely brilliant, but very, very tough.

There is a cheap way to beat this game:
1) at lv 1, finish sub quest 1
2) use the money to buy pots/bottles
3) farm gems at dark ruin floor 1 bonus dungeon over and over; upgrade your weapon to max
