I'm intersted in the vitrification phenomenon, some say that extreme temperatures hotter than an asteroid or volcano must have done it (ancient nuclear?)

aye i'd say this is vitrified rock and with it being on higher ground its likely to be the remains of a fort. but the figure or face you see i think is a natural rock formation. sorry to disagree.
