A week had past and life in Freemont High was as it always was. Nick bit his lip nervously as he thought about the party that would take place at his house tonight. Parents were gone, Joe would be out of sight, nothing could go wrong, right? The school day was the last thing going though his brain as he thought about what could possibly be missing for tonight, though nothing turned up. He'd been standing in front of his locker for the past 5 minutes, just looking blankly inside the metal square. "Relax, it's fine," Joe mumbled, so the conversation would only be heard by his cousin. "What?" Nick questioned unsure on what Joe was talking about. "You're party, you'll be fine stop stressing. Everything you have will be really cool." "This coming from the nerd, awesome." Nick responded, his tone sarcastic. "You know what, I was just trying to help if you don't want it, fine whatever." With a slam of his locker Joe made his way away from his cousin. Nick sighed, Joe was only trying to help. He hated the fact Joe still got him, still tried to help when Nick did nothing to deserve it, was this popularity really worth becoming a jerk? As the question entered his mind, a jock pushed his newest target to the ground, showing Nick why he didn't want to be unpopular.
On the other side of the hall, Roxanne placed books in her locker as she was getting ready for the lunch hour. "So the Christian group starts today." "Yeah I don't think I'm going..." Tilly responded keeping her head hidden in her own locker.
Roxanne: (Shuts her locker looking over at Tilly) Why? Because of what happened...they'll never know Tills
Tilly: I know I just...I don't think I belong there
Roxanne: Come on Tills even if they did know about what happened, it shouldn't matter, they should still be your friends, still love you like I do.
Tilly: (shuts her locker) Well not everyone can be perfect like you
Roxanne: Come on, you know I'm not perfect
Tilly: Well you are a goodie do right
Roxanne: (Sighs) I do bad things
Tilly: (Laughs) like what? You cussing is saying crap
Roxanne: Is not...Shit damn, hell, ass...happy?
Tilly: (Laughs) yes, I love how easy you get offended by that
Roxanne: (rolls her eyes) Whatever. Come lets go.
Tilly: (Sighs) fine...
As the girls walked through the cafeteria, Roxanne's eyes came upon a familiar face. She smiled slightly walking towards the table the male was sitting at "Hey," she spoke in her usual bubbly voice, "What are you up to?" The male looked up at her, amazed she was talking to him.
Tilly wondered why Roxanne headed through the tables instead of around them, until they stopped in front of a table, leave it to Roxanne to talk to everyone. As she spoke, Tilly's eyes wondered the rest of the room, until they landed on him.
