The remains of Maretimo House in Blackrock. The house was built in 1770, knocked down in 1970. The harbour was built in the 1830's. Modern houses now stand on the estate. The jetty (1830's), private railway bridge (included in part one), and period old bathing areas survive. The first structure used to have columns at the front, which have now fallen. A short climb later we're looking into a room built into the hill (cold storage?). We then visit the cut stone bathing areas and the structure that overlooks them. Next - an iron crane, a hill, some trains, more old walls, cut stone footbridges, and a drunk guy. All this, some rat holes and girl's underwear = Modern Maretimo. See links below for old photos.
