you make the pocket trumpet sound like a regular trumpet. Nice work!!

@number1trumpet I just checked out your music. I hate to be negative but ARE YOU KIDDING? Was that all a joke? You can't be seriously presenting THAT as music. That was really quite dreadful. Sorry. Hate to say it.

@Titurine He should stop using toys and get a real horn. Proper equipment is important if you're going to be a serious musician. I am a professional and it's just upsetting to see the all these goofs on youtube. Check out my videos if you want to see some real music.

great job!
Am i seeing things or are you putting allot of pressure on the mouthpiece? I'm new to this and I have heard that was something i should avoid. I am getting allot of different trumpet players saying different things about methods. so sorry if I sound silly.

Yea. It's possible I'm using a lot of pressure in this video. I had been practicing a lot and finally made my 'first take' of the solo. I was getting tired near the end. Ideally, you wont use a lot of pressure - instead you will use a lot of air support from your diaphram. During long passages when the air runs out, it's easy to resort to using pressure, but this only wears you out. The key is to work on a lot of flexibility (slurs) and breathing techniques to avoid resorting to pressure.
