very cool, at first i thought you added a motor to a walkalong glider lol!

This can also be done using milkweed, thistle, or dandelion fluffs over a styrofoam board. Charge up the board, let the fluff attract to it, and watch it jump off. The fluffs are so light they can be kept nearly motionless. I'm sure there are lots of other options.

Thank you for sharing this idea!

Wow, I've been making walkalong gliders for years, but this is incredible! Quite the innovation. Fantastic job!

Interesting.
I guess glass could be used instead of mica.

Did a lot of walkalong 55-60 years ago as a kid with a rubber comb and tiny fluff of cotton from a cotton ball. Let cotton attract/jump to comb and then fly back off spontaneously and then walk along under it! Recharge on the fly in your hair. A lot slower than the plastic. What great memories you bought back! I always wondered if I could do it with bubbles........Thanks

@k4zep I just tried the comb and cotton. Had to shake the cotton off of the comb to get started but it works great . Thanks for sharing this.
