@RVO174 so what i did was take out all the seeds and there is a thin layer around so i scooped that and ate it but only like one big spoon full :(
-
@xPIVOTxMANx yeah unfortunately there are many seeds to navigate and you have to be careful because they are very hard. They can do some damage to your teeth if not worse.

do you eat the seeds or what?

@danniellelockabyy You don't eat the seeds. Technically you can but they are very hard and I wouldn't recommend it. The meat (red fleshy part inside) is what you eat. Thanks for watching.

I liked it. This guy is the only one who came even close to telling me what the hispanic guy at the produce market (just another customer) told me about peeling them. He also said, basically, just eat the seeds, don't chew them!. :)

I ended up with these a few years ago ...they were 5 for a dollar. I cut it open and found seeds everywhere and although it tasted really good ....the seeds were annoying. So here is what i did after peeling them. I smashed them down flat with a potato masher on a cutting board. picked out the seeds and added the pulp to various fruit salads.

@stairway2danielle Yeah the seeds can be a pain and dangerous to your teeth. The fruit as a whole is kind of a pain to deal with which makes it not worth it unless you really like the flavor or have never had one. Typically the way you used it is a good way to go, to accent other desserts. Thanks for your feedback and info about how you used a cactus pear and thanks for watching!
