what makes airplanes and spacecraft so expensive is the constant safety testing that's done, man hours, and insurance coverage. Homebuilt spaceship could be under $100,000. Actual materials needed are Composites, Aluminum, and Titanium Alloys, Solid Rocket Fuels, and learning how to fabricate those parts which can be learned from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Astronautics Opencoursware.

@sethares I bet! Way fun!

Google "The Naked Scientists". In the "New Theories" section of the forum there's a thread entitled "Did we land on the moon?". On page 15 there's a partial summary of hoax evidence. It's the seventh post from the top.
There's some info on space radiation there which would make all manned Mars missions very difficult.
After the Apollo hoax, we have to wonder about everything else too.
Do a YouTube search on "MarsFaker".

I found your original inspiration (even if you didn't know it): search the finkbuilt blog for "real-estate-bubble"

I guess this means you really aren't moving back to California....

Having a Phobia about the moons of Mars is Deimonstrably silly.

...You aren't really a spaced-out hippie, Ann, but now you play one in a youtube video.
Hey. How about an episode 2 where the people in the commune are cooking a huge meal in the kitchen? - Cousin Rob

Maybe we can eat that astronaut food that comes in squeezable tubes, and drink lots of tang. Cooking in zero-g is so much fun!
