  • There were at least three big acts in the early 1970s: Elton John, Cat Stevens & Tony Orlando & Dawn. TO&D were everywhere - on TV, on the radio, you name it! I believe they were on children's lunchboxes back in the day (the ones made of aluminum & steel)!
