Chris "DEF" Defendorf, founder of the TRUE SCHOOL in the JUNGLE GROOVE FOUNDATION, created this music and video adaptation of Public Enemy's "She Watch Channel Zero". With some obvious exceptions, all "sonics" and art were created by Defendorf. The people in the video are members of the Foundation, friends, and family members, including Chris' new nephew Jackson Gabriel Meek. The montage with the family together shows his pregnant sister, Annie Meek, on Christmas Day, 2007. George Clinton collage by Augustus Mattick, at http://www.tiedyemafia.com
The 1998 dates on the photos are inaccurate, put in there for aesthetic reasons. Note ... the date is 1/2/1998, as in "uh one two/uh one two ...mic check", And 1998 was the year that, in my opinion, Hip Hop Culture died and was simultaneously reborn. It's soul entered it's body after that, when Missy Elliot's "Get Your Freak On" was released. Most of these photos were from February 2007. Made exlcusively on your mama's computer.
