Electronic Music - How To Build A Clock

You can imagine some spy entering a heavily guarded facility, filled with guards, cast iron, and steel, with lots of gantries, air ducts, and interlocking pass ways several stories high, and everything is so cramped, even though the whole facility itself is huge. The spy is quietly and quickly looking for his target on the top floor, and he has to pass everything from the basement up. And this music, i think, is a good example showing his moments and time passing through this building.

Hey, thank you very much. That was probably the best reply i have gotten to one of my comments. You only have yourself to congratulate, because you are a music maestro, especially in the ambient and electronic genre.

Wow, fuckin eh! That was the BEST comment I have ever gotten. Damn, I was reading it thinking hell yes, I am in this place, .... that was a killer word visual! Thanks.

Very inspiring clips you used! I must try to capture my studio in dark mood/lightning. And the vid is featuring a mackie mixer...YESSSSIR!!! Great sample as well!

Thank you. Oh your studio rocks, I watch the studio tour video all the time, I love the way you set your stuff up, I really like having things within reach, makes it easier to learn new gear as well. I use a few Mackie mixers and they have never let me down! Props to you for all the custom little spaces you created to hold your gear, VERY cool. :

The other thing I'm wondering is about those monitors. From the looks of it they are M-Audio but dont know which ones and they are 5's correct? How well do they perform and what was your take on KRK monitors? Personally I cant stand KRK's (despite the fact I have 2 of them in my studio lmao).

I like the 5Bs though I liked my old Tannoys better. What don't you like about the KRKs?

Hey Dude,
My apologies for taking so long to reply to this. Pretty nice setup you got going on there! I dont do much electronic music, but I was familiar with, or rather interested when I saw the Korg ES-1, Yamaha AN200, and the Yamaha DX200. I couldn't really see what you had as far as rack mounted modules though. I know one thing was from the look of it, a headphone amp, but the other things I couldn't really make out.
Overall nice setup and you know I like your sound :)

Hey KJ, no rack modules in this studio just beat boxes and some soft synths on the old iMac. I was going to dump the iMac but I decided to use it as a sound source, absynth, fm7, pro53... the rest is just MOTU interface, audio drive, DVD player for ripping samples, most of what I do is in Soundforge. I am adding another Electribe I have, but that will be about it. Thanks for checking it out!
