Alive Not Dead (A.N.D) is not only the name but also the message that rings loud and clear from this dynamic duo. Unashamed of who they are and boldly declaring the truth, that Jesus Christ is alive not dead, A.N.D is reconfiguring the message of hip hop and redefining its means of success.

In an industry where vuluptuously figured women bearing all, and hard core, money driven males dominate advertising and promotions, it is not only daring but almost unorthodox to present any other image to be accepted. However, A.N.D members 3J (Julian Jackson), and Kross (Charles Smith), are two individuals unafraid to meet the challenge. Produced by the infamous sounds of the Hip-Notics of Hipnotic music , A.N.D is highly noted for their focus on positive lyrical detail, exclusive head nodding beats, and intricate ear gripping sound. It is thier ability to captivate an audience with exuberant, hype, energetic, dance compelling performances however, that create a phenomonal reputation and propel popular demand. On stage all attention is demanded as both artist bring their heart felt emotions, testimonial experiences, and crump inspired movements front and center.

Natives of the Washington D.C. area, both 3J and Kross are knocking down barriers and setting new standards. A.N.D's success is supported by a wide ranging and genre crossing fan base. Requested heavily in night club, bar, and open mic venues, they have also received huge acceptance within the church. It is the church which is cited as the foundation and bases for their success.

Inspired by all forms of music, the two admit that they not only speak on how to live, but they also live by what they speak. They proclaim that thier music should be used as guidance and an escape from hurt, pain, dispare, and lonliness; like Harriet Tubman to the Underground railroad.

Alive Not Dead overall objective is to spread a message of joy, happiness, love and truth. They often quote, "We as a people inherited the earth and now we own it!"
