Here's me trying to play Neil Zaza's "I'm Alright" arranged by JerryC. Credit goes to JerryC for making the background.

Sorry it was a bit messy in the beginning, my phone was ringing and luckily I was using direct recording. Mistakes are obvious since no one is perfect, so I'll try my best if I record another one.

Gear:
-Fender Standard Stratocaster 60th Anniversary Edition
-Vox ToneLab LE
-Vox AD15VT

  • how did u record directly?? into a interface? or just direct to microphone input?

  • @TheFeliciano Direct recording

Guitar -> Vox Tonelab LE -> Audio Kontrol 1 (audio interface) -> Computer

  • Sounds very nice. I own that guitar too, It is quite cool for the price, I see that you changed the pickguard for a pearloid one (cool), did you change the tex mex pickups?

  • Thanks, I changed the pickguard because my plain white one had gold letters on it from my parents so I had to switch it since it was wearing out. I put it in a picture frame =)

And I didn't change the pickups. If only the bridge pickup can be more active... But the sound is still great now!

  • What settings do you keep the amp on when using the Tonelab into it? I have th Ad30vt and never know what to put it on to let the Tonelab do most of the work.

  • Since this recording is all tonelab, my usual setting for the Vox amp is Black 2x12, max volume and gain because the gain knob is a secondary volume knob, and it doesn't distort. Treble, bass, and middle are in middle, bypass effect is on, so no effects from the amp are used.
