Australian Special Forces raid a Taliban compound and engage the enemy 3 meters away. An older video but definitely worth sharing and spreading!

  • With due respect, these guys aren't SASR, they're a unit that is a cut below, the 2nd Commando Regiment (Australian Regular Army), which is a on par with the US 75th Ranger Regiment. 2CDO work in platoon sized attacks and raids, the SASR normally do 6 man patrol deep reconnaissance and sabotage.

  • @TheAustralianArmy If you notice carefully, the buildings they are approaching have no windows, which means no natural light inside them, and it is bright outside. If they went in their eyes would take several seconds to adjust to the darkness. Enough time for the guy inside with a medium machine gun to wipe out a forced entry. Not one of these guys were wounded or killed, they did the right thing by not going in this time.

2CDO and SASR both use the M4.

  • Did they ever get him?

  • @MrAAAusername why send anyone at all ?... idiot

  • @league04 Hehe, that's not the only thing that's "unique" about Australia. We have two main political parties, one is called the Labour Party (ALP), and the other is called the Liberal Party. The thing is, the Liberals are actually the conservatives, and the ALP is the progressive of the two. I had a heck of a time explaining that to a New Zealand tourist a few years ago :)

  • @wattlebough You're right, i did misunderstand. calling people that aren't regular, regular, is kind of confusing haha

  • @league04 I think you've misunderstood my comment. I wrote that the 2nd Commando Regiment (2CDO) is on par with the 75th Rangers. 2CDO is an elite unit within the Australian Regular Army (the ARA, nick named "the Regs", is the professional full-time branch of the Australian Army, with about 31,000 regular troops; as opposed to the part-time "irregular" Army Reserve (ARes), which is similar to the US National Guard. Peace.

  • @wattlebough Standard Australian army on par with US army Rangers? You're joking, right?

  • @ponchott They are not just gonna send one guy...idiot.

  • @ponchott You dunno the story of why they went there. If they used special ops forces it was probably a HVT. not some average taliban militiaman

  • These are Australian special forces, not British. These are SASR forces not SAS. Please correct the title :)

But badass video, keep them coming, can't get enough heh
