These lyrics were written to be from specific scenes in the ORIGINAL game (not Crisis Core, but the original Final Fantasy 7) Aerith's life in the slums, her first meeting with Cloud that ended up starting her journey, her appearance in his dream as she ventured alone into the City of Ancients to summon Holy, the great sorrow her comrades felt when she died, and her ever-supportive presence even from the lifestream.

@katethegreat19 Cannon wise, Cloud never had a thing for Aerith, you could chose to pursue a date, ut it was only a joke thing. He thought of her as a little sister, he had/has a thing for Tifa. Then when you see Aerith and Zack in Advent children you see them standing together. You have to remember, Aerith could still talk to Zack lilke he was still around, just like she did to her mother. She always kept that attatchment to him, though she liked Cloud because he reminder her of Zack.

@SMGxSeshaBeowulf Aerith was a character with so much love in her, so yes the song is about love :) but I didn't limit it to any particular type of love. Mothers love their children. Sisters love their brothers. Friends love their friends. And yes lovers love each other. The beauty of love is that it is absolutely universal. In my lyrics, I didn't limit Aerith's love to simply romantic. I would never do that to her.

I can truly say that this song saved me. It gave me comfort when I thought I losy someone and I felt as though he was singing this to me and in the whole day I felt comfort for the first time...I felt as though he was actually there next to me even though I cannot see him. I had had a nightmare about him and this soothed me to see that he was there all this time...And forever would he stay... Thank you!

Wow, you really wrote these lyrics yourself? they are amazing. i love the relationship between cloud and aerith, their relationship isnt limited to romantic, it can be seen in many different ways. i really love the lyrics, and needless to say (but because i think that you deserve the praise) you have a beautiful voice.

You are so talented, I applaud you my dear (: & tbh before anyone can comment on Aerith's relationship with Cloud or Zack, get your facts straight because in MotP she turned Zack down and she implied she preferred Cloud's "simplistic and awkward" nature. She also claimed she loves Cloud even in the life stream and referred to Zack as a very dear friend.
