You ask any Kiwi (Maori or not) and they can name 10 things that are easily identifiable as being part of Kiwi culture - of those 10 things, I bet most will be food (like fish n' chips) and only a couple will be pure Maori (like hangi).
The original poster seemed to be criticising that only 1/2 are Maori, but to me the fact that so many non-Maori were interested enough to learn and give it a go (another Kiwi characteristic) is awesome and to be encouraged.

There is no such thing as Kiwi Culture it's Maori or it's white.
They need to watch Te Matatini to see some proper Kapa Haka.

So what. One of the main points of the club is to share Maori/Kiwi culture with others. Besides, 100% of Maori aren't 100% Maori either and only 12% of Kiwis are Maori.

It's better than last year's 2005 performance. Those people thought they were "All That", with their wannabe selves. What was up with that tall parrot guy?! That was so not Maori!!!
