I've heard that usage for carrier pigeons, and I think they had dogs for a similar purpose.

Is Fester an actual name, because I do know the other two are.

I like how in this episode, Pigeon Man learns that there are people who can be trusted, and who better to help him realize that than Arnold? Arnold seems to accept anyone, and he is someone that anyone can like or trust. That's part of what makes this episode really good, and Arnold does it with some other people, like Monkeyman. :)

@mannardme I think Fester was the uncle's name in The Addam's Family, but I don't think I've ever heard it anywhere else.

@funnybones021 Actually, I think I heard it mentioned there as well, even though I never saw the show or even the films. It's probably not considered a "real" name even though Lester and Chester have been used before. One of Tom Hanks's sons is named Chester.

This is probably my favorite HA episode, just the ending and how deep the story is. The fact that it's a bittersweet ending is unique in itself. PigeonMan doesn't get accepted, he doesn't become a part of society, he just leaves. But because of Arnold, he has hope again that there are other people that might understand him and accept him. It's a story of hope, and I swear it brings a tear to my eyes everytime I watch it.

That was a touching episode, you really feel for Pigeon Man in this one. I saw this one on the 90s are all that.
