Wow, what a video. I couldn't stop looking at that thing. It has got to have great lift with those wings. Probably steady as a rock. I wanna fly one really bad.

The interior of the aircraft can be configured to hold 6 to 8 seats by removing the food prep area and lavatory or just retaining the lavatory. It will be built of composite materials. We are evaluating the final FAA ruling regarding the 51% ruling for a kitplane version of the design to determine what would constitute a fast-build option if we go this route. We are also excited about ground-effect operation of the craft and look forward to seeing this in the full size version.

I'm sure any operator unless filthy rich will opt for more seats. Will it be built from aluminium or composite material , the Seabee was designed to be built in 200-250 hours. which let them build over 1000 aircraft in about a 18 month time spand will your design allow for fast build times.
Wing in ground effect is the coolest of your features I would love to see it fly in true life.
If your seeking investors. I would suggest attending a few trade expos in China

The aircraft design has eliminated all sources of additional aerodynamic drag usually found in float planes & flying boats such as "steps", wing floats, chines, spray rails, pontoons, rigging cables & sponsons, and hence achieves improved flight efficiency. The aircraft will provide a custom living interior with stand-up headroom,shower/head,food prep area and fore & aft berths. Once on the water with wings folded, the aircraft can function as a high speed ground-effect watercraft.
Like the design it looks very stable for it's small scale size, has good looks about it too. Clean lines. Looks like you have achieved all the goals you were aiming for.

@Phantomx1e Thanks Phantomx1e, we are very pleased so far with the results of our fractional scale testing at both the 1/8th and 1/4 scales. A full size aircraft is under construction.

Aqua-CompAir8 has 5000 gtw and 700! mi range w/ reserves.Your Cd had got to be better than that brick but- 36gph cruise @200 mph needs 1700 lbs of JetA to go 1300 nm right? How does it handle high wave over the wing during takeoff? Assume all composite construction? Does fuselage have shock absorption at wing root junct? Flow turbulence at junct studied? How about a turbo Corvette engine or 2 in tandem? Thought about a WIG only version 1st? Dreaming about 70 mph 8 ft over water sure looks good

The data I have is GTW 4800lbs,990nmrange.The Walter turbine isn't necessarily the best choice and we are considering twin Corvettes among others. Our upcoming tests(spring/09) with fully instrumented 1/4scale a/c will answer most of your questions and we will be able to comment on them more then.Instrumentation includes 3axis accel.,thrust meas.,tufted fuse w/cameras.Our1/8 scale a/c had no problem with scale 2-3 ft waves.WIG only version is definitely on the table!! Thanks for your comments.

OK! I'm Hooked! Large Horz rear surface -is the tail flying too? Propwash blanking out rudders?Seems unstable in yaw during transition from wave effect to flight- more vert stab?Cockpit windsield must be lower for over nose viz. What engines are planned? 600 hp turbine at low alt does not =1300
NM range? 5000 GTW and 200 mph cruise?? Folding wing mech seems too complex. Great video, music-not so much' Repost with upbeat questing FUN sounding score and wait for orders!!

Thanks for your great comments.Aircraft is a tandem wing. There is full rudder authority in flight, winglets are not in propwash, even in sideslip. Yaw stability appears quite adequate with latest config.Windshield will likely be extended forward to enhance vis. All specs are prelim. but reasonable if desired Cd achieved & extended range stub wing tanks installed. To compare see CompAir8 re: range and top speed.Instrumented 1/4 scale to be further tested spring/09 to get more data. Thanks.
