The International Criminal Court seeks justice for some of the worst human rights abuses throughout the world. But even with progress, there are still millions who are affected by crimes to humanity, poverty and have no recourse to justice. Additionally, two of the most powerful governments, China and the United States, have failed to sign the Rome Statute of the ICC and continue human rights abuses. Amnesty International urges that these governments sign on and seek to pursue justice with means to reduce poverty, ensure access to education, proper maternal care and end oppression.
