( http://heritage-key.com/blogs/sean-williams/salima-ikram-talks-about-secrets-... ) In this exclusive video, the American University at Cairo's Salima Ikram shares the secrets of Egypt's enduring animal adoration. In the video, she explains how Egyptians believed that animals were born as gods' creatures, and that gods would enter their bodies and animate it. The sounds animals made were thought to be the secret language of the gods; thus Egyptians felt they were actually closer to divinity than themselves, and would question animals, through a priest's interpretation, on matters as mundane as inheritance or property.

  • Asking the Apis Bull a questions and listening to his answer, is definitely more friendly then to slaughter them to read the future in their organs! ;)

  • Animals are the GODS. Humans are the animals, the most dangerous and destructive two-legged animals on this planet.

  • @flower1921 LOL Ya, I learned my lesson

  • @gkamericoast lol at this discussion. The point is do not piss off animal lovers, lol!

  • @gkamericoast Awww. I'm glad some of my emails/comments have made you rethink your position on humans/animals & intellect and morality. But all of the credit goes to the animals, not me, in getting you to rethink your position. I am nothing but their little Ambassador. Thanks for sharing that info. with me about that book. I've written it down on my list for future reading. It definitely sounds like a heart-warming story, something that is totally up my alley:-).

  • @truthandluv Your last few emails really got me thinking and/or re-thinking some of my own comments. Specifically the point you made about tsunamis and man's inability to use common sense in preparation for the inevitable damage. There was a book I read when I was very young called "Island of the Blue Dolphins" that actually addressed the very point you made. At one point in this book, a wild dog saves a young girl from certain death by taking her to high ground. It's quite a beautiful story

  • @gkamericoast Okay:-).

  • @truthandluv I promise not to share my readings with you. I swear to god i won't! ha ha

  • @gkamericoast "That is part of their instinct"? Gee, humans have instincts, so what happened? Did the instinct in humans malfunctioned due to an overload of intellect & morality when the Tsunami hit? Thanks but no thanks on sharing your readings w/ me. I'm not one of those humans who believe humans are intellectually & morally superior over animals. I'll have to search for my recommendation list for you, but in the meantime, just look around & OBSERVE, keep an open mind like I've done. PEACE.

  • @truthandluv That is part of their instinct, but the situation with a tsunami is not as simple for humans to just get up and move. Nonetheless, I commend your effort. You are a feisty one, I give you that. I have lots of books, but if you have some recommendations feel free to open up. I'm listening
