It has to do with intentionality. Take for example an artefact a opposed to something which is found in nature made by random processes.
If I make an axe head for the purpose of cutting trees it has a teleology. It has a purpose which I the maker have given it. When it is made it is made with a purpose. Thus it has meaning. A sharp rock found in nature was not made with intention. It has no purpose.
If someone made the universe and man with intention, then we may have a teleology.

Keep in mind that I realize atheists can claim that nature displays some sort of Aristotelian teleology. However, that is not the strong sense which I am talking about.

I actually have to distract myself from the 'sad truth' in order to remain happy, if I sit idle, like most people, I get depressed, and I feel that if i DID believe in a god, I would be happier.... But I cannot have faith, and must fight to remain happy.

This guy needs help I think. Athiests dont believe in any gods , thats it, thats all. I believe that we may have many lives, just because I dont believe in gods doesnt mean I could not believe in reincarnation. There may be a Universe whre we all go when we die, our energy may leap through to somewhere else, and that doewsnt require God either.

1) Atheists post videos on atheism at most as frequently as Christians post videos on Christianity.
2) Most of the time, the 'atheistic videos' are [solely on scientific concepts], [scientific concepts in response to antiscientific concepts], and [replies to religious claims and insults].
3) Youtube is an intended-open forum. A place for ideas to meet.
3.I) If you go to videos explicitely "proof for/against god" then don't expect chicken fights or Ozzy Osbourne playing 'Mr. Crowley' live.

your a dumbass, its not that atheist make a match with youtube, youtube is a place for sharing and comunicating, if you go to videos about atheism, what did you expected to find? dog videos? music videos? you ll obiously find people talking about atheism or religion in general.

I enjoy most of my time and I have no fear of death.
I have no fear of living to the fullest, I have frustration because many things in life prevent that, but at the same time I do not let that get me down. Life is a journey and each experience is something to learn from and serves as contrast for others.

Amount of ATHEISTS in the world compared to how many are in prison... 16% take 1%
Amount of THEIST in the world compared to how many are is prison... 84% take 99%
Religious people are a much greater percentage.
Keep in mind I am talking about child rapists rapists, murderers, torture, child abuse...

You say that "atheism is where your sense of self" is found. You identify yourself as essentially a person who does not believe in God.
For a being who 'does not exist', it sure is funny how much of focal point he is in your own life. I don't see myself essentially as a person who does not believe in aliens.

Atheism in the more general sense is a lack of belief in God. Buddhists, Animists, many New Agers and all sorts of other folk can be classified by this definition as atheist.
However, there is a more specific form of "atheism" that has de-facto become known as atheism (in the more narrow sense) that also includes scientific naturalism/materialism (epistemology) and secular humanism (ethics). THAT is where my sense of self is found.
