In this commercial, the family that pops corn together, well, sings pop music together! I loved making Jiffy Pop as a kid and watching the tin untwist and become a big silver dome! But the best part was tearing the tinfoil open at the end and letting out all the steam so I could see how the popcorn turned out! (burnt, usually, but wasn't it fun?)

wonder how it's like living in the 1950s? Sitting out on the porch all day reading a newspaper, going inside to listen to a radio (if fortunate, watching a tv). Working in a company where labor unions and labor laws didn't exist, being underpaid while slapped around by ruthless bosses with a hope that you'll come home in one piece everyday due to the dangerous machinery and low environmental standards.. eeh, some areas of the fifties may be great, but..

We used to have Jiffy Pop a lot. It was fun to do and watch happen. And eat, if you didn't burn it trying to get that last bit popped.
