Hey, you're talking about the second CD of the Hanna-Barbera music that features a bit of Curtin's JQ underscore, including the "over the falls" piece, released on 1996? If so, I have it too! Though there were many underscores that were not there... I wish Warner Bros. released the complete Hoyt Curtin / Ted Nichols action music on CD. Also, HAVE YOU HEARD THE UNDERSCORE PLAYED AT 1:26? OMG! That was a never heard one... AWESOME! Quickly, someone make a Hoyt Curtin home-made CD!

Not just a great Cartoon, No one of the greatest Shows in Tv History way ahead of its time. Everything was Great to the Characters, Animation, Music, Writing, etc. Im so glad I have the Dvd Set, for this Epic Show!! Great Documentary!

i love how you took the documentary and made each video just a certain topic discussed such as the villians for example. or the music, the actors. i like that alot haha :)

@chrisweb037 Actually, There is a Hoyt Curtin Jonny Quest CD available now. I've had it for years. Not sure if it's still in production.

Monster made the show. This is the best. Stuff out there. Saturday Moring Cartoons. When cartoons were cool. They would take you. To a different place. Every single week. I wanted to find. My own Dr. Zim. Save the world. Science was cool. But what dose? A 44 year. Old Hispanic know any way. Lol. Lol. Some times more then. The 20 years old out there. P.S. This is were. I do the mad science laugh. Lol. Lol. Lol. -_-

Nazis I hate those guys.
Love the score playing along with the assorted Villians, also the 'over the falls' score at 3:08 with the creature shots. Hoyt was amazing... I don't know how you were able to remove the original background music during many of these scenes and lay down another audio track to blend it together, but this REALLY rocks and it makes it all flow together so seamlessly. Very well done!

It was my understanding that the makers of the documentary had the entire library of almost three hours of Hoyt's cues for Quest to use in the production. Something that has never been made available to the public!

This made more use of the Hoyt Curtin scores than the Hoyt Curtin clip. Love that "terror" score, the gargoyl cued in. It was used in the final showdown w/ Turru, & is the most off-the-hook blending of music & drama since the showdown w/ Maleficient/the dragon in Sleeping Beauty. The wolf/music in Peter & the Wolf was good for its genre too.

Yeah its a great cue. And its great to hear someone talk about it with references to other composers! It's not my documentary, I posted it for a friend but he checks the comments and I know he will love reading yours. I am a movie music fan to an obsessive degree. You too?

i forever will associate Quest with that teradactle screech

Someone told me that the early Ray Harryhausen film 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH, for their creature from Venus, used the same sound effect as the screeching pterranadon from Jonny Quest -I haven't checked it out, but I know what you mean -that sound in Quest is like the trademark sound of the show.
