I'm from N.Ireland and I think most n.ireland accents are crap and miserable.
Also local bbc tv was parochial and dull.

@Visonu The VCR recorder had just made it's debut in domestic households in Britain at around that time(circa 1988)no doubt that would have made people record things,as they were brand new.My parents obtained one in about 1989.The poster of this video is about my age.

I didn't. My parents did. I was only 7 at the time and no doubt I'd have been asleep in my bed at the time this was broadcast.

The edition of Sportsnight which preceded the closedown featuring Derry City playing in a European Cup competition, and they must have set up the VCR to record the whole programme or something.
I've never asked them and to be honest, I don't really care about asking them.
