Well, Car companies should try and think about reducing weight of cars and stop marketing and funding V8 power all the time.

A 5.0 Litre engine pushing all that weight, and 250cc engine pushing nothing.

Lightweight vechiles will always perform better, Enough said.

I took the shifter kart class at Bondurant about 8 or so yrs. ago. I could not believe how quick they are. There was some class time prior to putting us into the lesser-powered karts, which we drove until they put us in the shifters. I think the instructor told us that the shifter karts do from 0 to 100 and back to 0 in about 10 seconds. I was hoping I could do burnouts just by mashing the gas, but they don't do that. But they WILL pin you in the seat. What a rush they are! joel in tucson

@Dimitri0809 too light can be too skippy while turning, also depending on the front weight distribution and if it's front engine rwd or mid engine rwd, but still usually reducing weight too much in certain cars can make it skiddish and hard to get grip, it's not all about weight it's about how it's tuned too.

@Dimitri0809 That's why many high end sports cars and super cars use carbon fibre now instead of aluminum. A 250cc motor in any 4 wheel car is pointless and no matter what the situation is, 1 motorcycle or super up go cart will perform better then a real car because they weigh nothing

@AviTheBlader uh. i do not have a camaro. i have a 74 chevy nova. but i have a question for you. can you drive your cart on the road legally. no. because it needs more parts to make it legal. add all those parts and your little cart engine pushes you no faster than a prius. i understand that they can go fast. but they need no weight. what do you think dragsters do. they reduce weight and put in more power. but. those dragsters can still beat a cart.

@Dimitri0809 Lol yet corvette's tend to be lighter then most 4 bangers. Especially high performance 4 bangers. It's also funny that corvette's get better gas mileage then alot of high performance 4 bangers that don't even compare to a corvette...Dumb hippy.
