Another core-spinning video using a more traditional drop spindle handcrafted by Sunset Turnings. http://sunsetturnings.etsy.com and a different spinning technique. This method of drop spindling is great for beginners and traveling (when there isn't much space to drop your spindle). I find this spindle holding technique to be easier when creating bulky art yarns.

Live Music performed by my friend Rebekah. You can download her album on Noise Trade:

  • Do you soak it in hot water all at once or pieces at a time...Then rub the whole thing a section at a time with your hands while in hot water... then soak it in cold water all at once? I was a little fuzzy about how you set it.

  • @ohmydear11 Take it off the drop spindle using a niddy noddy (see my "how to wrap a skein of yarn" video) and when it's in that loop of yarn with the ends secured soak it in very hot water and rub it a bit between your hands and then soak it in cold water and that's how you would set the twist. :)
