  • Out of curiosity, are the "Barrow Gang' pictures album art, promo shots, what? Was it related to the fact that Bonnie and Clyde was in release at the time, as if I didn't know? Kinda gives an interesting meaning to "gangsta music', wouldn't you say?

  • @therealjoebloggs I'm sure the success of "Bonnie & Clyde" influenced that photo.

  • did some of the band members switch to the mamas and the papas I was reading, the female singing in the video any body know her name ?

  • @camboy1132 The answer to most of your question is in my notes attached to the song...Elaine "Spanky" McFarlane, the lead singer for Spanky & Our Gang, replaced Mama Cass Elliot for a few years after Cass died.

  • @pooka5472 jOHNNY bARBATA AND cALVIN sAMUELS LAYED DOWN A HEAVY BACK-BEAT ON CSN&Y 4 WAY STREET. GREAT LP

  • @1mrmoose NO SHIT!

  • @ 1:04 the guy in the middle on the back row with the thick mustache looks just like Dick Van Dyke

  • This band never got their due respect due to them not being overally attractive nor youthful. It's a shame they produced feel-good music in a time that needed it the most.

  • @Nocaro In addition, drummer John Seiter later joined The Turtles after their drummer, John Barbata left to drum for Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

  • a great song from a summer that seemed to go on for ages

  • The Spankers were so good! They had a distictive sound that will never be duplicated and Elaine's voice was golden. What a range and the words were about love. Happy never sounded so good!

  • OMG...a tsunami of memories from 1967 or so....if only music today had such feeling and emotion!

  • Great memories...thanks Nocaro for uploading it.

  • @ddescvvb Agree with you. Thanks God for Youtube (and to uploaders like Nocaro too) that allows us to find good songs like this one. Your ALIEN friend.
