Flashback to 1994: "United Kingdom, one point". Your first, ultra down-letting point. I heard someone on an Irish Eurovision special commenting sth like: "we were under the UK for a long time so it's only natural they should give us more points than we to them." That enough fodder for ya? ;Þ Besides you got your revenge for this '76 incident in '81, where you didn't give Ireland ANYTHING! Muhahah!

Oh, don't be so quick to judge - they've given you high marks on numerous occasions (not to mention that, along with the Maltese, they saved you from another Jemini last year). Maybe they just didn't like the song all that much...
