Rent this and many more lenses at: http://www.borrowlenses.com/?blpid=qqqqcon This is a detailed review about the performance of the Sigma 10-20mm lens for nikon cameras, including first thoughts, image quality and field testing. Also see Tokina 12-24mm vs. Tokina 11-16mm lens review and the Ultra Wide dx Lens Comparison videos under the wide angle lens review playlist on my main page. This lens was thoroughly tested on the nikon d3x camera.

  • does the tokina 11-16, or tokina 12-24 have a sharper image compared to this one? which of the 3 lenses do you prefer?

  • @SawDogProductions I would say both tokinas are better than the sigma. 12-24 for landscape photography, 11-16mm for low light.

  • everyone talks about f stops for speed. if you doing landscapes you also want to consider f stops for colour

  • @00Q A lot of lenses lose quality past f/11 and f/16 because of diffraction. Knowing what f stop your lens starts to lose quality at is must.

  • WHY DONT YOU USE A SOFTWARE TO RECORD FROM THE SCREEN ?????

  • @00Q there are no rules in photography but for most situation f/11 is the sharpest and optimum setting.

  • @QQQQcon is there a rule to pick numbers between 11-16? or will any fstop do in that range?

  • @QQQQcon is there a hard rule to choose the numbers between 11-16 ?

  • @00Q around f/11-f/16

  • @QQQQcon Thanks, I just bought a second hand 10-20 Sigma lens because it is quite cheap. Quality isnt too great, but I do enjoy the composition the 10mm offers.

When you shoot landscapes with this lens, how do you decide what f/stop to use? for example when to use f8, f11, f16 and f20?

    thanks,
