@AftComet Apparently you just dont like corvettes, but look at the facts at least. The 72-77's are very well sought after by corvette enthusiasts. I will admit the C4's arn't much to look at, but having drivin one on both the road and track, I can tell you they are great cars. Also 0-60 on a 1975 L-82 is 6.6 i think? How is that slow considering the 0-60 on another "performance" car from 30 years later (05 Cobalt ss another car i have driven), is only 6.1sec?
i really dont understand why ppl pick on these cars for being slow, everything on the road was slow from this era. besides it would take very few mods on an l48 to make the horsepower respectable.
@M1AShooter72 So what? It's pointless comparing non-stock cars because anyone can invest enormous sums of money into a rust bucket and make it a speed cannon.
If I buy a brand new car, I'm buying the car, not a potential project.
Even brand new, the Corvette from 1972 - 1994, was and always be a disgrace to American muscle cars. I especially hate the C4. Not only was it magically weak but it also featured one of the ugliest designs for any sports car.
To anyone who thinks this a great car. I have it. It's actually a great-looking car. The L-48 engine is a joke. And don't get me started on the hydra-matic transmission.
i cant wait till i get mine its got a huge ass motor (i cant remember what size he said it was) but it has the auto tranny and he tore it out by doing a wheel stand at 100 lol he had to drive 5 miles home in reverse
@Stevethepirate8973 It's definitely not 6.6. I'm talking about the L-48.
Did you know those corvette engines back then were used in chevrolet family sedans? Like I said, the corvette is not a sports car by any means.
Today though is a whole different story.

Luckily the new generation is amazing.

This car is not stock, nor is my '75. The factory L48 is weak, but it is a 350 and has enormous potential.

That motor came stock with a Quadrajet 4 barrell 750 CFM carb. Why would you put a 650 CFM on it. It won't run right.
